Lina Medina (born September 27, 1933) is the youngest confirmed mother in history.
She was born in Ticrapo, Peru. Her parents took her to the hospital at the age of five due to an increasing abdominal size. Doctors initially suspected a tumor, but discovered she was seven months pregnant.
On May 14, 1939, at the age of five years, seven months, and 21 days, she gave birth by cesarean section to a healthy boy named Gerardo, who was named after her doctor.
The identity of the child's father has never been publicly revealed. https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Child's%20Father
There was considerable debate about whether her case was real, but the medical documentation (including photos and X-rays) strongly suggests that it was a genuine instance of precocious puberty. https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Precocious%20Puberty
Gerardo was raised believing Medina was his sister, and he only learned the truth when he was 10 years old. He died in 1979 at the age of 40, from a bone marrow disease.
Lina Medina later married and had another son in 1972. https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Married
She lived a quiet life with her family in a poor district of Lima. https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Lima
